Complete Norton Removal Guide
Sometimes you need to completely remove Norton Antivirus from your system. This guide covers all methods to ensure Norton is fully uninstalled.
Method 1: Standard Uninstall (Windows)
- Open Control Panel
- Click Programs and Features
- Find Norton in the list
- Click Uninstall and follow prompts
Method 2: Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool
Norton provides an official removal tool called "Norton Remove and Reinstall" (NRnR). Download it from the Norton support website and run it for a complete removal including leftover files.
Method 3: Mac Removal
On Mac, drag Norton from Applications to Trash, then use the Norton RemoveFiles tool to clean remaining files from Library folders.
After Removal
After removing Norton, ensure you have another antivirus installed before browsing the internet. Windows Defender will automatically re-enable itself when Norton is removed.
